Another Eastown gem. We finished our event for the concierges of Grand Rapids at Billy's and enjoyed it thoroughly. For some of us, it was our first time and was pleasantly surprised. I like the happy hour prices.

Hip place. I attended their salsa dancing lessons. It was pretty cool. They have enough people who know what they're doing to make you feel comfortable. No food but you can order in. Reasonably priced drinks. It's a good time and a great place to meet new people.

First time I had been there. Walked im during the comedy show and then karaoke! Even got up on stage with my friends...it was a blast! Met some very nice people and the staff was more than friendly and helpful.

Billy's is a great place to learn Spanish dancing on Wednesday nights 8p-9p, after that you can dance freely to the music. They have events all throughout the week.

I haven't actually eaten here. But have done quite a few shows where there's hype dj's, a wonderful crowd and the staff are all amazing!! So much fun here!! 🥳🙌🥳

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If Heaven has a dive bar, it’s modeled after Billy’s — and I have photographic evidence. I found Billy’s during a conference in Grand Rapids, on the last day in town, which honestly feels like a personal failing. We were tired of the downtown bars that all look like they were decorated by a committee of accountants, so I Googled “Dive Bar near me.” Billy’s appeared like a beacon of hope and questionable decisions. First photo: The Bar Itself. You walk in and the place hits you with that perfect dive‑bar glow — dim enough to hide your sins, bright enough to find your beer. The bar is lined with locals who look like they’ve been grandfathered into their stools. The sign that says “Cash or Card Accepted, No Apple Pay” is the most honest thing I’ve ever seen. Billy’s doesn’t do “tap to pay.” Billy’s does “tap the keg.” Second photo: The Popcorn Machine. Then there’s the popcorn. Free. Glorious. Overflowing like it’s trying to apologize for every bad bar snack you’ve ever had. The popcorn machine looks like it’s been running nonstop since 1984 and refuses to die out of sheer spite. The popcorn itself? It tastes like freedom, butter, and a little bit of “you’re gonna need Tums later but it’s worth it.” Third photo: The High Life. After looking at the main row of taps with craft beers and hipster vibes, I was beginning to settle on another disappointing beer, when all of a sudden I spotted it. Tucked in the corner a single tap, all by itself with what felt like a beam from heaven illuminating it. There it was — the Holy Grail. High Life on tap. For $1.50. I held that pint like it was my firstborn child. The tap handle practically winked at me. I texted my wife and told her to pack my stuff and ship it to Billy’s because I was moving in. She didn’t argue. She knows destiny when she sees it. Fourth photo: The Stage. And yes, Billy’s has a stage. A real one. The kind of stage where dreams are born, die, and get resurrected with a cheap beer. Posters on the w
